Hi! I'm Beebe, a photographer based out of Metairie, LA. My wife Corine and I photograph weddings all over Southern Louisiana and created a blog for the convenience of our friends, family, colleagues and clients. Our son Ethan, who often makes appearances on our blog, is a photographer in training. Don't worry though, he won't be shooting any events just yet!

Krystal + Keith

How you met:
Our story is one filled with firsts... first kiss, first love, first heartache. Yes, we met in highschool when I, a cheerleader, met a football player who had been recruited to be a part of our co-ed competition squad. The senior and freshman fell in love and ten years later we are more in love than ever. We have grown stronger through many trials, including surviving a long-distance relationship for six or seven years and being uprooted after Hurricane Katrina. If anyone needs encouragement and is wondering if there is a happy ending after trials and tribulations... one thing we have both learned is that true love does conquer all.

The Proposal:
Keith proposed on a humid December night (what other kind is there in New Orleans?) on Royal Street. We have always loved the Cornstalk Hotel on Royal and as we walked past our special little spot in front of the stalk-iron fence... he asked me to pose while he took a picture. As he fumbled with my camera pretending to not know where the flash was, he handed it to me to "fix". As I was preoccupied with the camera, he had already gotten on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes through the blubbering tears!

Why Studio Tran?
The first thing I did, besides book Southern Oaks, was research wedding photographers in New Orleans. I knew my photos were going to last way longer than memories in our minds and he/ she needed to be fantastic! Being a television journalist I was also searching for that photojournalistic style that is now in high demand. Beebe & Corinne's website stunned me and really seemed to capture the essence of each couple individually. Not only did I see with my eyes, but I felt with my heart the love stories each couple represented. I am so pleased to say Beebe exceeded my expectations and those family members who were apprehensive of his "modern" approach. Beebe is a true professional who is so easy to work with and a joy to have around.

Other favorite vendors/Wedding Day Thoughts:
Our wedding day was everything we anticipated it would be. I truly owe everything to our vendors... Southern Oaks has the ultimate "fairy tale" wedding down to a science. Their staff is superb and pulled every detail off flawlessly. I did not want to have to worry about intimate details and they covered everything. We were well taken care of and so were our guests. Mr. Bobby and Kyle were amazing. Flambeaux Media were our videographers. I chose Charles Illanne because of his attention to detail and professionalism. I highly recommend them. We were blessed with our florist. Patsy Strawn is a close family friend and she did a marvelous job. I don't think any other florist could have captured the colors and variety she did. She has a true gift. Our bridal party's hair and makeup were "flawlessly" done by Heather Ramirez and her team from Flawless Bride. The girls could not get over how talented Heather was and how truly "flawless" their makeup looked. I was so pleased. We had many compliments on our cake where it counted most... taste! A big thanks to Haydels Bakery for executing my personal design so brilliantly and for making a delicious treat of a groom's cake!
All in all, we are blessed and thank everyone for making our day so special.

Lorina, amazing mother, wife, friend & breast cancer survivor

From my cousin Lorina's loving husband:

"My wife Lorina was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer on February 29th, 2008. When we learned about this shocking news, we were surrounded with love and support from family and friends. Lorina has recovered from her mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. She is feeling better as the days go on. Her hair is growing back and she has her swagger back. My wife is the most amazing woman I've ever met. Thank you for taking the time to read about my wife and all of these amazing women that have or had battle breast cancer. Our saying: "February 29th will always be a day that changed our life forever. Now, every year we will celebrate that date and live life to its fullest" AWP."

Zach + Mandy

We always enjoy the weddings we shoot, but we had a particularly good time at Mandy & Zachs. We were able to work together, which is always nice. We were back in the St. Louis Cathedral where we were married and besides the bride and groom, 5 other couples of ours were there. How fun is that?

The shoes:

Our beautiful bride

The handsome groom

OK, we had to throw Beebe in there for fun. We are particularly short but it REALLY shows next to some of these football players! We were joking Beebe could be the ring bearer!

I never saw these shoes make another appearance but I liked this picture.

Ben + Emily

first dance at Pat O's on the River

How you met:
Ben & I joke that we are going to make up a story of how we met that consists of rescuing small animals or planting trees, because how we actually met is not at all sweet or romantic. We met on New Years Eve five years ago. In a bar. Which was off of Bourbon Street. We were each other's New Years Eve kiss and we've been together ever since.

The Proposal:
If how we met was not romantic, he made up for it with his perfect proposal. We were in Rome, Italy on vacation and he proposed in the Piazza Novana, taking me completely by surprise and making our vacation a hundred times more special.

Why Studio Tran?
Studio Tran came highly recommended by my wedding planner and friends. Because I was planning the wedding from out of town, I didn't have a chance to meet Corine until the day of the wedding, but I never had any doubts that I would love her or that she would perfectly capture our wedding in her photos.

Other favorite vendors/Wedding Day Thoughts:
I was lucky that all my vendors were wonderful, but I have to give special thanks to my wedding planner, Michelle of Unique Weddings in New Orleans. When I woke up the day of the wedding, the hotel that my bridesmaids and I were supposed to get ready at had NO electricity! So I called Michelle, told her the problem, and within 15 minutes she had found a suite at another hotel that we could check in to immediately. She then called Corine, the woman who was doing our hair/makeup, the florist, the limo drivers and the police escort to inform everyone of the change of location. Not only did she help me plan a beautiful wedding, she was such a life saver and saved me tons of stress that day!

Ashley + Phil Engaged

One of the best things about being photographers is the amazing clients we meet and the new things we get to do each and every day.

We really strive, with each of our sessions, to capture the unique feeling and relationship that every couple shares. We've traveled to university campus spots that were sentimental to the couple. Some of couples have wanted to dress sophisticated and then change into something more representative of their personalities (Tony & Erica). We've had couples want to go to the harbor because they like to boat, (Tara & Brad). One of our couples wanted to include a '57 pink cadillac convertible, (Brittany & Steven).

Sometimes our couples want a romantic French Quarter vibe to their images(Casey & Jeff). Sometimes that vibe is sweet and fun and including beloved pets(Jonathan & Brandi) and sometimes couples have a vibe that is hot, sexy and edgy. A few weeks after Ashley told me she wanted to do something different, I noticed this cool location that I've always wanted to shoot at. I got inspired and started to brainstorm and worked it out with the couple to shoot there. This location was in the Elmwood area and it just lent itself to this edgy shoot.

Keeping our photography true to the personalities of each couple creates these beautiful and vibrant sessions.
