How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
It was Thursday December 21st, 2017. It was getting close to Christmas and I had been begging and asking Nick if we could put some Christmas lights up. Needless to say, he didn’t put up any lights…until December 21st. I got off work and was headed to his house to start my vacation off of work to celebrate Christmas. When I got to his house, he rushed over to the door and told me to close my eyes. I had no clue what was going on because he is always pulling jokes on me. He said I have something to show you in the backyard. As he opened the door he uncovered my eyes and the backyard was decorated with lights, with music playing, and a table was setup with roses and champagne. He took me closer to the table and got down on one knee. I was SOOO surprised!! One of the best nights of my life!!

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our wedding ceremony was at the Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church on Baronne Street in New Orleans. My parents and I visited the church years ago and I fell in love with it. I told my dad that I wanted to get married here one day. It came true on August 18th. It’s my favorite church in New Orleans!!

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
Our wedding reception was at The Chicory in New Orleans. My mom and I were looking at venues one weekend and we stopped in at The Chicory. Brent Bogan was the rep who showed us around and once he started explaining how everything was going to work it all came together and made me feel so confident that we were going to be in good hands. Needless to say, everything was PERFECT!!!

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Seeing Nick at the altar and celebrating with all our family in friends!

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
YES!! The day and night flew by!!

From the Bride – When you first saw the groom, what were you thinking/feeling?
OH MY GOODNESS…THIS IS IT!!! I had the biggest smile on my face along with watery eyes!! I couldn’t wait to get up to the altar with him and begin our lives together.

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
What a beautiful bride! I can’t wait to marry this woman!!

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Bittersweet Confections in New Orleans. We had strawberry, chocolate, and buttercream. It was DELICIOUS!!!

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
No. I didn’t want to do a first look. We wanted to keep it traditional and see each other for the first time walking down the aisle.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
I did not have a coordinator. My mom was a HUGE help. She basically planned everything for us and it was AMAZING!!

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
You Make It Easy by Jason Aldean. After we got engaged, a couple of weeks later this song came out. We listen to the words and knew that this was the song. The lyrics are so meaningful.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Band..The Bucktown Allstars!! Of course, they ROCKED it!

Anything else you want to say?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Studio Tran knew how to capture everything for our BIG day. We can’t thank yall enough. So nice to work with!!!
