How did the proposal go?
He surprised me with a photo shoot at the Dallas Arboretum. I was shocked the pictures were beautiful!
Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Juliana’s wedding center in Ponchatoula, LA. We fell in love with the venue the first time we saw it, and it was closer to the family!
Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
The reception and ceremony were in the same place.
What unique or special things did you do at the reception? (for example, ice sculptures, live painter, glow sticks, sun glasses, 2nd line band, mardi gras indians, memory table, the list goes on of fun things you may have done)
I had two pendants in my bouquet for loved ones who had passed on.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
I’ve always loved spring and the colors!
From Katelyn – When you first saw Robert, what went through your mind?
“Oh my gosh he’s crying. Don’t trip!”
From Robert – When you first saw Katelyn, what were you thinking?
“She’s about to be my wife”
Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Cocoa Bean Bakery- white cake funfetti style. It was perfect
Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Yes but we stayed on opposite ends of the wall. It was a nice memory to have with ourselves before the ceremony.
Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We planned everything ourselves. Find a place that has all inclusive packages!
Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
