How did you meet?
We met at Walt Disney World at the Magic Kingdom. We had worked together a couple of times and just became good friends and then we started dating. Let’s just say , we owe it all to a Mouse!

How did the proposal go?
The proposal took place at Disney Polynesian Resort. Matthew proposed to me. We walked along the beach path and then I looked up and his parents and my parents we’re holding signs that says, ” will you marry me”. We celebrated with Dinner and a fireworks cruise on Bay Lake.

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
St. Mary’s Assumption- we picked this place because I used to go to this church as a child with my grandma and grandpa. My grandma recently passed away and it meant a lot to feel like I had her in the ceremony.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
Federal Ballroom- we wanted somewhere that we would be downtown and have the true New Orleans culture. This place had everything we could have hope for in a venue. It was amazing.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
We had an ice cream bar- this was dedicated to brides dad because he eats ice cream every night.
Live painter- gift from brides brother
Memory table of all our past grandparents
Disney touches throughout the ceremony
Glow sticks and glow glasses
2nd line band- we second lined in the Federal Ballroom.
Exit— waving ribbons we

What was your favorite part of the day?
Honestly.. everything!!! We both wish we could relive this day over and over again

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
The groom got in the car and said: “can we do that again”. The day is so surreal and goes by as quickly as everyone says. Best advice is to take a moment at the reception to look around the room and see how many people are there and just having a blast. Think that they are celebrating you as a couple.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Disney is where we met. We wanted to incorporate some Disney touches into our wedding. The colors- we wanted different colors and. Or the traditional black tuxedos. I love all the purple colors and wanted a color in that family.

From the Bride – When you first saw the groom, what were you thinking/feeling?
I was so ecstatic to marry my happily ever after.

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
I was amazed, so happy and excited. Couldn’t believe the day was here.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Swiss Bakery – we had 4 different flavors , it was absolutely amazing

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
We did not do a first look and honestly we are both glad we didn’t. We liked seeing each other walking down the aisle.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We had a coordinator at the Federal Ballroom, Rebecca.outstandingatanding. I thoroughly enjoyed planning everything and finding out what things I wanted.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Band- The Boogie Men were fantastic!

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Just enjoy every bit of it!’n the little things don’t matter!!!!! Take time to just have fun and enjoy it!!! The day really does go by as quickly as everyone says

Anything else you want to say?
Studio Tran was absolutely fantastic. I could not have asked for better photographers.
