How did you meet?
We met on Match.com back in 2011. Kevin messaged me before I had my photo up b/c he thought my “about me” sounded so cool. We were just friends for the first couple of years, then we ran into each other at a concert in 2013 and sparks flew!

What do ya’ll do?
Amy is a registered nurse and Kevin is a Navy Seabee.

What is your favorite thing about each other? Share a personal story.
Our favorite thing about one another is our humor. We are constantly laughing!

How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
Kevin proposed in Biloxi, MS on NYE. I was very surprised!

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Palmettos on the Bayou because we loved all of the greenery.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
We had a memory table and 2nd line exit.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Kevin didn’t realize what a garter toss entailed and assumed he was supposed to give me a lap dance. Everyone thought it was hilarious!

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes! Fastest 3.5 hours of our lives!

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
We chose navy and white with red accents because we wanted to incorporate red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July without going overboard.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We planned everything ourselves and had a day-of-coordinator. My advice is to start early and finish about 2 weeks ahead of time so you aren’t stressing at the last minute. I would definitely recommend a day-of-coordinator at the very least b/c it was nice to not have to worry about anything during the actual ceremony and reception.

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Try not to stress and just enjoy the day!

Anything else you want to say?
Thank you, Corine and Kacie, for being absolute professionals, putting up with the heat, and being so easy to work with!
