How did you meet?
Rachel was a customer at the cell phone service provider that Josh worked at. This only happened because of a New Orleans Mardi Gras trip that caused Rachel to lose her phone.

What is your favorite thing about each other? 
We love the same things. Spicy foods, tv shows, road trips and puppies.

How did the proposal go? 
Josh got his niece and nephew to make a sign that said “will you be our aunt”?

Where was your ceremony & reception held and why did you pick these sites?
Southern Oaks Plantation in New Orleans, was picked because NOLA is one of our favorite places in the world. The FOOD, the drinks, and the people are like no place on earth.   We fell in love from the moment we first visited. The family who owns the house made us feel at home.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Dancing to the Mixed Nuts, and amazing band, and seeing all of our loved ones.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Rachel wanted a classic, elegant, southern, traditional theme

That’s the man I get to spend forever with. How lucky am I?!

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
How beautiful she was, inside and out.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it?
We did a first look in the lobby of the hotel. We were nervous about the day until we saw each other.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? 
Southern oaks had multiple coordinators and it made our lives so much easier as well as our families.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
We wanted something old school. We did al green, let’s stay together. The words say it all.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Band. The mixed nuts. They were amazing!

Plan as much as you can in advance and have someone coordinate your day.

Anything else you want to say?
Corine was a calming influence throughout the day. She also had everyone’s respect as everyone did what she said. I appreciated that she didn’t overkill certain pictures. We took some and moved on to the next.
