How did you meet?
Brian and I met at LSU. Our mutual friend got us to join his volleyball team and the rest is history.

Include a little bit about yourselves. What do you do?
I work as a Financial Analyst and Brian is an Engineer.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
Brian is my best friend and he’s always making me laugh! We share a lot of the same interests. We love family and friend time, trying out new places to eat, playing tennis… the list goes on!

My favorite thing about Allison is her adventurousness. She’s always up for something new.

How did the proposal go?
The proposal was perfection! Brian proposed to me at The Grand Hotel on Mobile Bay and I cried!

Where was your ceremony held?
The ceremony was held at St. Catherine of Siena. Brian’s parents got married there and, and Brian went to school there as a kid.

Where was your Reception?
The reception was held at the Audubon Tea Room. We went to a wedding there a few years ago and fell in love with it. It is exactly our style!

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
We had a live painter, magic mirror photo booth, goo sticks, a memory table, and Roman candy as our favor.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
My favorite thing was our first dance. The song was “Speechless” by Dan and Shay and it was such a romantic first moment as husband and wife.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
It went by way too quickly! But I wouldn’t change a thing. It was perfect.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Cornflower blue is my favorite color. Brian got me a kitchen aid mixed in thecolor a few years ago and that really started my obsession with it.

From the Bride – When you first saw the groom, what were you thinking/feeling?
“He’s so handsome!”

From the groom – When you first saw the bride, what were you thinking/feeling?
“Wow!”

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Gambino’s bakes our wedding cake and we had different flavors throughout the layers—almond, chocolate, and yellow cake with lemon filling. Maurice’s bakes our croquembouche which had chocolate and vanilla fillings.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We planned everything ourselves with our parent’s help. Start early!

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
“Speechless” by Dan and Shay. It’s my favorite song.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
We had a band, The Wiseguys. They crushed it.

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Start planning early! Don’t let stress overwhelm you. Just be in the moment and love it!
