How did you and Jon meet?
Jon and I met back in September 2012 when we were both in law school at LSU. Jon was a 1L (first year law student) and I was a 3L (third year law student).

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our ceremony and reception were held at the Elms Mansion on Saint Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana. We picked this location because it was our dream venue!

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
We picked purple because it is one of our favorite colors (No relation to the fact that we are LSU fans).

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
I planned everything myself. My advice would be to stay very organized.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
We had custom made fan programs, custom made LED mardi gras beads, LED tambourines, a piano player inside the venue (separate from the band outside) and a 2nd line band.

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Yes! We did a first look. I’m so happy we did a private first look because it was a special time for us to spend together before the ceremony. It also helped with giving us more time to enjoy our reception.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
YES! It felt like the entire day was only 2 hours long.

What was your favorite part of the day?
Marrying my best friend (of course) and the second line exit!
