How did you meet?
Kimberly and Sean matched on the Bumble app in August 2016. They spent their first date at Bar Frances in New Orleans. In the late spring/ early summer of 2017, they started seeing each other even more and by the end of June, they had said “I love you” for the first time.

Some of Sean and Kim’s first dates were at live music venues in New Orleans, and it was one of their biggest mutual interests. Sean took Kim to her first camping music festival in October of 2017, and they have been going to them together all over the country since then. Now that they live 10 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater, they attend many lives shows there every season.

How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
After a home, 2 dogs, and 4 years together, Sean and Kim were very much committed to one another and ready to make it official in the fall of 2020. Knowing that a ring had been purchased, Kim secretly searched the house for it with no success. As weeks went by, she knew Sean must be waiting for both of their families to come to town for a winter trip to Breckenridge, CO. On December 12, 2020, surrounded by family, Sean popped the question with a bottle of Malbec (Kim’s favorite) with special help from Kaya and Rosie.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Our first look in Fulton Alley was amazing. The 40 degrees wasn’t ideal, but it meant we had the whole place to ourselves! I loved that our friends and family were there to witness it.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Gambino’s king cake! With Sean’s family being from Chicago and the wedding taking place during Carnival, we wanted to literally give them a taste of New Orleans.

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
I am so happy we did a first look. It really helped calm our nerves before our ceremony.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Tahitian Blue by John Butler Trio. The songs opens with

“With battered masts and broken oar
Let me aboard to play my part
By letting me into your heart
I’ve got, I’ve got only good to give
I’ve only got one life to live
And there ain’t no place I’d rather be
Then with you on these seven seas”

and we loved that it acknowledges that things aren’t always perfect, but that through our love for one another we can get through anything.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
After 8 band delivered on all fronts! From the musicianship, to the vocals, to the energy, they had all of our guests raving! We are still getting texts from family and friends about how good this band was.

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Pretty simply- it’s your day, do what you want, and don’t care what anyone else has to say about it (but do all of this without being a bridezilla).

We work really hard to help come up with a timeline and plan for the portrait list to make sure you are getting the most out of your day. How useful was this for you?
Our day was seamless thanks to your timeline!
