How did you meet?
Blind date in college

How did the proposal go?
Tyler proposed to me in our favorite park where we always walk our dogs. We were walking our dogs and he was behind me, called my name, and I turned around and he was on one knee.

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
White Oak Estate & Gardens. We loved how beautiful it was and that it was in Baton Rouge where we met and have built our life together.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
Same as ceremony

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
Our dogs were the flower girl and ring bearer!

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes! Way too quickly.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Lavender is a pretty flower, very relaxing, and a beautiful color. The silver accents and candles made a gorgeous atmosphere.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Cake That! was our baker. Our cake was funfetti with raspberry filling. It was fantastic!

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Yes – we loved it. It was special having that moment together and private. It was a beautiful experience.

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself?
My mom and I planned everything ourselves. My advice would be to plan as far ahead as possible and when it gets too stressful, stop and take a break. It’s supposed to be fun so don’t let it get you too stressed out. Also, make sure to stick to what you want – this is your wedding and no one else’s.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Whatever It Is by Zac Brown Band. We’ve always loved this song and it describes how we feel about each other so well.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
DJ – they were great!

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Stay true to yourself – this is your wedding and you deserve to have it how you want it. Try your hardest to cherish every moment – it really does go by as fast as people tell you if not faster.
