How did you meet?
Out and about with friends at Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar in New Orleans
We started out as best friends and then it turned into a relationship

Include a little bit about yourselves. What do you do?
Trent works in the orthopedic industry selling orthopedic implants and I work in the biotech/pharma industry selling 2 medications for Multiple Sclerosis to Neurologists.

We love the Saints, binge-watching our favorite shows on Netflix, working out and enjoying everything our city has to offer from food to festivals with our friends!

We also love to travel!

What is your favorite thing about each other? Share a personal story.
Trent’s favorite thing about me is how independent I am and how I love him for who he is and I don’t try and change him

My favorite thing about trent is how fun he is when we go out and how no one realizes what a big teddy bear he is at home. He’s sensitive and loyal and he lets me do my thing!

How did the proposal go? Who proposed to who, were you surprised?
Trent proposed to me during Christmas in 2017 while we were opening presents with his daughter and her half sister Victoria. We weren’t suppose to be exchanging gifts that year because we were going to mexico. After opening gifts, one of the girls noticed something was in my stocking….I was a little shocked because I didn’t want to exchange gifts, Trent went and got my stocking to give me the gift and before I knew it he was down on one knee proposing and I had no clue it was going to happen.

Where was your ceremony & reception held and why did you pick this site?
Marche, because the views are beautiful and its tucked away on the edge of the French quarter

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
Live painter, 2nd line

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
walking through the French quarter from my air bnb to my wedding in my wedding dress

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
for the most part yes

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
I wanted something that was classic yet modern and that I would love forever

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Bittersweet confections, vanilla with chocolate butter cream and chocolate with vanilla butter cream……it was beyond delicious

My Cake was one of my favorite things

Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Yes, I think the first look is a little over rated but it was nice for him to get to see me alone before we took pictures

Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
I had In Nola Events and Design as my wedding planner…Maria Maginnis and she was amazing….I liked being a part of all the planning but I highly recommend at least getting a planner the month of you wedding….I had one for the entire planning process.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Finally Mine by Juliet Roberts….I wanted a bluesy/jazzy song that sounded old but was new and not many people knew….it reminded me a lot of Etta James

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
Band….Karma…..they were beyond amazing

We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Its worth every penny you spend….I started to question if it would be and It truly is a magical day where you feel like a princess…..Don’t sweat the small stuff

Anything else you want to say?
I had an awesome photographer!!!! Thank you so much for everything
