How did you meet?
We met in a business fraternity at LSU.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
My favorite thing about Justin is his sweet southern accent and Justin’s favorite thing about me is my laugh.

How did the proposal go?
Justin surprised me with a proposal in the gardens at Houmas House Plantation.

Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our ceremony was at Immaculate Conception Church on Baronne Street. Justin went through the RCIA program at Immaculate to become Catholic and we are parishioners there.

Where was your Reception held and why did you pick this site?
We had our reception at Rosy’s Jazz Hall. Most of Justin’s family lives out of town, so we wanted them to experience a true New Orleans wedding. Nothing says New Orleans like Rosy’s.

What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
To keep the New Orleans theme going, we had Mardi Gras Indians and a brass band come in for a second line. Additionally, since my side of the family is Puerto Rican, we used Puerto Rican flags (instead of napkins) in the second line.

Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
My favorite part of the day was our first dance. We have four left feet between the two of us, so we had to practice dancing a good bit. It was exciting to see it finally come together.

Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes, the day flew by.

What was the inspiration behind picking the color palette and decor that you picked?
Our wedding was very close to Christmas so we piggybacked off of the dark reds.

Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Gambinos prepared our beautiful 4 tier cake. It tasted even better than it looked!

Did you do a first look?
We we’re happy we did a first look. It was really nice to see each other in private for a minute and it helped to relax our nerves for the rest of the day.

What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Our first dance was To Make You Feel My Love. We picked this because we are both big Garth Brooks fans and Garth Brooks was the first concert we ever saw together.

Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
We went with The Nola Dukes band. They we’re fantastic!
