HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

Bright. Unique. Dramatic. Whimsical. Sharp. Scripted. Unscripted. Can all these things really define a photography style? Absolutely! But don’t some of these things contradict each other? Yeah kind of! We don’t believe that a totally documentary or totally traditional way of photography is harmonious in capturing the wide range of events, emotions and moments that transpire during your portrait sessions or wedding day. We bring together all these things to deliver you the perfect gallery of images from your day.

We accept credit cards, personal checks, money orders and cash.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes we are available for travel. Please contact us to discuss the details for your big day.

I AM NOT SURE WHAT PACKAGE I WANT, DO I HAVE TO DECIDE RIGHT AWAY?

No, we do not require you to select a package upon booking. The basic package will be selected for you if you do not know what you want right now and you can change it anytime up until three weeks before the wedding date when your final balance would be due.

DO YOU ACCEPT “SHOT” LISTS?

Sure! We have no problem being given a list of requested photos but please keep in mind we cannot guarantee we will get them all. Things like weather, timing and missing people can get in the way of achieving all the images on a list. We will however do our best to get them all!

I WANT SOME FORMAL PICTURES WITH MY FAMILY, DO YOU DO THIS?

Absolutely! We believe this is an important part of your wedding photography experience. Formal images with your family will definitely be cherished for years to come. We do have a short list that includes immediate family that we try to always take. If you have additional pictures you would like us to photograph, we would be more then happy to do so.

I AM NOT READY TO BOOK JUST YET, CAN YOU “PENCIL ME IN?”

Unfortunately we do not hold dates without a signed contract and retainer.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN TO GET DRESSED OR WHEN WE'LL BE TAKING PICTURES?

This is a great question! To make the day go smoothly work closely with you to go over many things for the big day. We have a pretty lengthy questionnaire we send out about 8 weeks before the wedding to gather all the details about your bridal party, family, times and locations. With this information, we will build you a photography timeline and list of must have pictures.

Our timeline will outline things like
photographer arrival time
when hair & makeup should be finishing
when you will need to get dressed
exchanging gifts, if any
will there be a first look with the Groom?
when pictures will be taken with the bride and when with the groom
where we will be taking pictures - hotel, home, travel to another location and so on

HOW DO YOU HANDLE GUESTS WITH CAMERA PHONES THAT MIGHT BE IN THE WAY?

There really is not very much we do besides alert you if there is a problem. We do not ask your guests to put away their cameras, stop taking pictures or to move out of our way. If we feel someone is ruining images we will tell you and let you decide how you want to handle your guest. If a guest is moving in the aisle during the ceremony or possibly going to block that amazing moment you walk down the aisle we may remind the guest of our location and ask that they move over so that we can both get the shot. However sometimes we don't know someone is going to jump out and get in the way until its too late. We do not feel it is our role or our responsibility to tell your guests they can't take their own pictures. If you are concerned about guest interference during your wedding we highly recommend an unplugged wedding. Hopefully your guests will respect your wishes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK, OR LIKE DIE?

Thankfully our wedding vendor community is small and the photographers in the area come together when needed. If anything were to happen to your photographer then we would first see if someone else on the Studio Tran team was available. If everyone else was booked we would turn to the photography community to see who would be available. Usually there are multiple choices and we would provide you with a list to chose from.

WHAT DO YOU WEAR ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING?

We can promise we won't be showing up to your wedding in jeans and a t-shirt. We always try to blend in and dress appropriately while not compromising our ability to move quickly, get on the ground for the perfect shot or run around during a 2nd line.

WILL THE PHOTOS BE TAKEN IN BLACK AND WHITE, COLOR, OR A MIX OF BOTH?

All images are taken in color. We may post process some of your images in black & white. We love color so you wont find many black and white images on our blog. However if there is a particular image you want converted to black and white we'd be more then happy to do that for you.

HOW LONG AFTER MY WEDDING WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Our turn around times vary. Our current turn around for edited wedding images is 8 weeks after your wedding.

HAVE YOU WORKED WITH MY COORDINATOR BEFORE?

Thankfully the vendor community in our area is pretty small and we've had the opportunity to work with and form friendships with many of the coordinators in our area. Most coordinators take the timeline we make up for the photography and put it directly into theirs. We communicate well with coordinators and collaborate to bring you the best coverage for your photography.

HOW DO YOU COORDINATE WITH MY VIDEOGRAPHER?

Thankfully the vendor community in our area is pretty small and we've had the opportunity to work with and form friendships with many of the videographers in our area. We understand that both jobs are important and we try to watch out for the videographer and stay out of their way. We wont be ruining your first kiss shot for the videographer by jumping in the aisle in front of their camera at the last moment.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH IN A WEEKEND?

Beebe, Eric & Corine may each do 1-3 weddings a weekend. One on Friday,Saturday and Sunday. The more important question is how many do we do in one day. Each photographer only photographs one wedding a day.

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS FOR SHARING PHOTOS ONLINE OR FOR PUBLICATION?

There are no restriction for sharing your images on social media (instagram, facebook, twitter and so on) but we do not allow photo altering or editing of the images. You are allowed to submit your weddings to different publications only if Studio Tran Photographers is credited. Online blogs or magazines will need a signed release and you can send that to corine@studiotran.com

WHAT TYPE OF PAPER WILL YOU USE FOR THE PRINTS AND ALBUM?

Our print lab uses Kodak Endura Professional Papers and says their photographic prints have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions and 200 years in dark storage.

Our album company uses Fuji Crystal Archive Photo Paper and treats the photographic pages with a special coating to PROTECT PAGES from liquid damage. This coating waterproofs pages and protects them from fingerprints.

HAVE YOU PHOTOGRAPHED AT MY VENUE BEFORE?

We have photographed at many venues in our area however there are times it is our first time photographing at a location. Chances are we have photographed your venue before.

DO YOU HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO PHOTOGRAPH MY WEDDING?

Yes, we come fully prepared to photograph all weddings and in any lighting situation.

DO YOU HAVE BACK UP EQUIPMENT?

Yes we carry backup camera and lighting equipment.

WILL MY WEDDING PHOTOS BE EDITED AND RETOUCHED?

Your images will be edited and minor retouching done. Any images that you want to enlarge can be further retouched. If there you are requested retouching or editing beyond what we normally do we can quote you a price for the additional editing. We recommend looking through the images on our blog to get a good representation of what you can expect from your wedding images.

HOW MANY IMAGES DO YOU PROVIDE FROM THE WEDDING DAY?

This number can be greatly different from wedding to wedding, anywhere from 600-1200 images. The length of your required coverage and the different things that are happening on your wedding day all will determine the number of images you receive. But don't worry, there is no magic number we get to and stop photographing. We will be photographing and covering your event from the agreed upon start and end time.
